Job Overview
As the Lawn Maintenance Crew Leader, you’ll supervise a crew of 2–5 members and ensure scheduled lawn maintenance and landscaping services are completed safely, efficiently, and to GLS standards. You’ll serve as the on-site supervisor and primary field contact for management and clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead, assign, and supervise daily lawn maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, trimming, weed-eating, debris removal, and general landscape upkeep.
• Operate commercial landscaping equipment and ensure safe and proper use by the crew.
• Perform quality control, ensuring each property meets GLS appearance standards before completion.
• Conduct basic equipment maintenance, inspections, and report repair needs.
• Communicate with clients professionally on-site and escalate issues to management when needed.
• Complete timesheets and job documentation accurately.
• Maintain compliance with all safety procedures and PPE usage.
• Train, coach, and mentor crew members.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years professional lawn maintenance/landscaping experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Proficiency with commercial mowers, trimmers, blowers, and related equipment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license; clean driving record preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work outdoors in varying weather.
• Detail-oriented with strong customer service skills.
• Ability to record work performed and use basic mobile/digital tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Landscape or horticulture certifications (such as CLT).
• Turf fertilization license preferred but not required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.
