As a Lead Associate - Category Management, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing the category management processes. With 3 to 5 years of experience in this field, you will be expected to bring substantial expertise and leadership to the table. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around effectively managing the product categories, driving strategic initiatives to enhance category performance, and collaborating with various stakeholders to align category strategies with business objectives.
Roles And Responsibilities

Lead the category management function, including assortment planning, vendor management, and promotional strategies.

Analyze market trends and consumer behavior to identify opportunities for growth within categories.

Develop and implement category plans that drive sales, margin, and market share growth.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing, sales, and finance to achieve category objectives.

Monitor category performance metrics and KPIs to assess progress and identify areas for improvement.

Conduct regular reviews and analysis of category performance, making data-driven recommendations for enhancements.

Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to make informed decisions regarding category strategies.

Work closely with vendors to negotiate terms, pricing, and promotional activities to maximize category profitability.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards in category management practices.

Mentor and guide junior category management associates to foster their professional growth and development.
