Lead Bartender

LEAD BARTENDER for High Volume Bars

WHAT THIS IS NOT:

• A chance to learn how to be a lead bartender
• You must be a strong bartender with former leadership experience

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Experienced high-volume lead bartender
• Able to lead and train other bartenders on recipes and jobs
• Assist with supervising floor teams
• Able to perform some duties on your own
• Have initiative and not wait to be told to do things
• Able to see what is needed and let GM know before we run out of things
• Strong Mixology Skills & must know your spirits
• Good with POS (we use TOAST)
• Someone to take ownership of bar (we have multiple bars)
• Assist with inventory, ordering and stocking
• Great at customer service
• Quick at learning our systems and menus
• Great beer knowledge
• Know you liquors and have done ordering before
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards in the bar area in accordance with food safety regulations
• Handle closeouts and rests with ease
• Able to lift cases of beers andn liquor with ease
• Able to clean and coordiante other staff
• Work well under crazy busy crowds
• Able to help with special events and festivals

TIME COMMITMENT

• This is a fulltime gig close to 40 hours a week, some overtime
• You will help open or close or both
• You will set-up bars for busy summer weekends
• You can work any time Wednesday through Sunday (We are closed Mondays & Tuesdays)
• Able to work overtime if needed
• Have no plans for time off requests for May through September
• Ready to report to work with us no later than April 24th
• This is a year round role

PAY

• We are a tip pool house.
• You will pool with the other bartenders at your particular bar, not all bars.
• The bar tips out hosts, and runners/barbacks.
• Credit Card Tips are paid out each night
• Each team member declares their take hom etips which are taxed on paycheck
• After May 5th, you are eligible to be in the New York Secure Choice Retirement Prorgam 401k
• Meal breaks are paid and shift meals are free
• Free employee parking is provided
• We use New York State Tip Credit pay rate that starts at $11.35 an hour.
