About the Role
We're looking for an Analytical and collaborative problem solver with strong program management muscle in the BizOps team in APAC.
As a Lead - BizOps in the APAC Central Operations team, you will integrate the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of high-impact initiatives that unlock growth and improve Uber's cost efficiency. These will include partnering with teams that focus on payments, financial products, risk & ancillary revenue programs in APAC. You'll lead cross-functional programs that directly influence Uber's bottom line and help shape the future of Payments & Risk programs while orchestrating the launch of new financial products & programs in APAC.
The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen with sharp analytical skills, along with proven experience in stakeholder management and a track record of delivering measurable results. You may have previously worked on payment & financial product topics as well as integrated cost optimization efforts as a consultant, investor, or operator. Just as importantly, you're comfortable working across diverse teams and can influence without authority to move complex initiatives forward.
What the Candidate Will Do- Partner with core-services teams: Build strong networks, relationships & influence with core services teams like payments, financial products, risk ops & insurance monetization.
- Integrate the APAC strategy: Integrate an APAC-wide view of priority opportunities for core services via a strong market landscape as well as internal strategy inputs.
- Own key outcomes & Performance: Programmatically track execution & performance across 6+ countries on core services topics.
- Troubleshoot exceptions & escalations: Proactively orchestrate key teams during periods of risk-related leakages and payment escalations.
Expand the BizOps engagement: Identify new programs and opportunities for the BizOps team to create impact in APAC.
What the Candidate Will Need- 8+ years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, finance, or general management roles. Master's degree preferred, ideally in a quantitative field (e.g., finance, economics, statistics, or engineering).
- Experience in program management or S&P roles in new-age internet or consulting companies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; confident using data to make decisions and build business cases.
- Experience working with Sr leadership on key programs with distributed ownership.
- Proven ability to manage complex programs and multiple projects in parallel while engaging and challenging key stakeholders.
- Familiarity with topics around payment processors and methods, financial products, and risk controls. Comfortable querying data using SQL and building models or dashboards in Python or Tableau.
