Lead Devops Engineer - Hetzner Cloud

Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and proactive Lead DevOps Engineer to spearhead our infrastructure and automation efforts. Unlike a consulting role, this is a hands-on leadership position where you will be responsible for the end-to-end execution, team management, and technical delivery of our DevOps roadmap. The ideal candidate will have mastery over Hetzner Cloud & Bare Metal and AWS, with a proven ability to build resilient, auto-scaling architectures that ensure 100% uptime and data integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Lead and manage the DevOps team, ensuring tasks are executed efficiently, deadlines are met, and technical debt is minimized.
• Infrastructure Management: Own the full lifecycle of our infrastructure on Hetzner (Cloud & Bare Metal) and AWS.
• Advanced Automation: Implement robust Auto-scaling solutions across hybrid environments to handle traffic spikes and optimize resource allocation.
• High Availability & Disaster Recovery: Design and execute foolproof backup strategies, automated failover mechanisms, and disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
• Hands-on Implementation: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and container orchestration systems.
• Security & Compliance: Enforce security protocols (ISO 27001/SOC 2 standards) and implement Zero Trust architectures across all layers.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor system health and proactively optimize server performance, load balancing, and traffic routing.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering Leads to align infrastructure with product requirements and business goals.

Required Experience & Skills

• Lead Experience: 5+ years of experience in DevOps/Infrastructure, with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior-level role.
• Hetzner Mastery: Deep hands-on experience with Hetzner Cloud, Dedicated/Bare Metal servers, and Hetzner-specific networking/storage solutions.
• AWS Expertise: Strong proficiency in AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC) and integrating them with on-prem/hybrid setups.
• Automation & Scailing: * Expertise in Auto-scaling logic for dynamic traffic handling.

• CI/CD: Proven track record with GitLab CI/CD or Jenkins.
• Data Reliability: Solid experience in managing high-volume data backups, restoration testing, and database reliability engineering.
• Monitoring: Mastery of Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack for deep observability.Technical Deep-Dive (Must-Haves)

• Traffic Management: Ability to configure smart load balancing and automated traffic redirection during server failures.
• Security First: Practical knowledge of implementing GDPR, SOC 2, or ISO 27001 compliance in a DevOps environment.
• Problem Solving: A "get things done" mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex network or infrastructure bottlenecks under pressure.

Nice to Have

• Experience in Fintech or identity-sensitive industries.
• Certifications in AWS (Solutions Architect) or Kubernetes (CKA).
• Strong background in cost-optimization for hybrid cloud setups.

Pay: Rs400,000.00 - Rs800,000.00 per month
