Position: Lead Engineer / Senior Design Engineer

Department: Infrastructure / Public Health Engineering

Location: Thane

Reports To: Director / Principal Engineer

Role Summary

The Lead Engineer will be responsible for end-to-end planning, design, coordination, and delivery of Water Supply, Sewerage, and Stormwater projects. This role involves technical leadership, team management, design review, and client coordination, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design of Water Supply, Sewerage, and Stormwater systems from concept to final deliverables.
• Review and approve design calculations, drawings, BOQs, and reports prepared by the team.
• Define design philosophy, assumptions, and criteria for each project.
• Guide and mentor Design Engineers and junior staff.
• Plan task allocation, monitor progress, and ensure timely project completion.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and approving authorities.
• Handle technical queries, design justifications, and authority comments.
• Ensure compliance with CPHEEO, IS Codes, NBC, and local development regulations.
• Participate in project meetings, technical presentations, and discussions.
• Support management in proposal preparation, fee estimation, and scope definition.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 6–10+ years of experience in Water Supply, Sewerage, and Stormwater design.
• Strong command over hydraulic design principles and standards.
• Hands-on experience with WaterGEMS / SewerGEMS / AutoCAD / Excel.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Clear communication and client-handling capability.
• Practical, solution-oriented approach to design challenges

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred)
• 6–10+ years of experience in Water, Sewerage & Stormwater design
• Strong command of hydraulic design standards and practices
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, WaterGEMS / SewerGEMS
• Proven experience in leading teams and managing multiple projects
• Strong communication and decision-making skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
