Senior Solution Analyst - PCC Upgrade (Customization & UI)

Role Summary

We are looking for a Senior Solution Analyst to own and deliver customization changes as part of a PCC upgrade program, with a strong focus on Custom JSP development and modification.

This role requires hands-on capability in analyzing requirements, designing customization approaches, and implementing or supporting JSP-level changes. This is not a pure functional analyst role.

Key Responsibilities

1. Customization Analysis & Design

• Analyze business and technical requirements requiring PCC customizations.
• Assess impact of upgrade on existing custom components.
• Propose customization approaches that minimize upgrade risk and technical debt.
• Identify conflicts between standard PCC functionality and custom behavior.

2. Custom JSP Development & Changes

• Design, modify, and support Custom JSPs used within the PCC application.
• Ensure JSP changes are:
• Upgrade-compatible
• Performance-efficient
• Secure and maintainable
• Refactor or retire obsolete JSP customizations where required.

3. Upgrade Impact & Regression Support

• Identify JSPs and custom components impacted by the PCC upgrade.
• Support regression testing and defect resolution related to custom UI behavior.
• Work closely with technical analysts, developers, and architects to resolve issues.

4. Environment & Testing Support

• Support customizations across:
• Development
• SIT
• Pre-Production (as required)
• Troubleshoot UI and server-side issues related to custom JSPs.
• Validate fixes and ensure consistent behavior across environments.

5. Documentation & Knowledge Transfer

• Document customization logic, JSP changes, and dependencies.
• Support handover to support teams post Go-Live.
• Highlight customization risks and long-term maintenance concerns.

Required Skills & Experience

Must-Have

• 5-9+ years of experience as a Solution Analyst / Senior Analyst / Technical Analyst.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Custom JSP development
• Java-based web applications
• Experience working on customizations during platform upgrades.
• Ability to analyze and modify existing code rather than building from scratch only.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for UI and backend interaction issues.

Good to Have

• Experience with enterprise platforms similar to PCC.
• Exposure to MVC frameworks, tag libraries, or UI modernization efforts.
• Understanding of upgrade-safe customization patterns.
