Job Title: Quality Analyst – Data & Automation

Experience: 4 to 10 Years

Role Overview

UST is seeking a highly skilled Quality Analyst – Data & Automation to ensure end‑to‑end quality across data platforms, ETL pipelines, applications, and APIs. This role requires strong expertise in ETL testing, data testing, and automation testing, along with experience in CI/CD pipelines to support scalable and high‑quality delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Data & ETL Quality Assurance

• Perform ETL testing, data validation, and database testing to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Validate data transformations using SQL, RDBMS, and ETL tools such as Informatica and DataStage.
• Perform data reconciliation between source, staging, and target systems.

Automation Testing

• Design, develop, and maintain automation test frameworks for UI, API, and backend validation.
• Implement automated tests using Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, and Cucumber (BDD).
• Automate API testing using Postman and REST Assured.

Manual & Functional Testing

• Perform manual, regression, system, and integration testing as required.
• Review requirements and prepare test plans, test scenarios, and test cases aligned with SDLC/STLC.

CI/CD & DevOps Integration

• Integrate automated test execution within CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Azure DevOps.
• Support build and release activities by validating test results and ensuring quality gates are met.

Collaboration & Reporting

• Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and product teams to identify defects and drive resolution.
• Document test results, defects, and quality metrics, and communicate status to stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Data & Testing

• Strong hands‑on experience in ETL Testing, Data Testing, and Data Validation.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, RDBMS).
• Hands‑on experience with ETL tools such as Informatica and DataStage.

Automation & Tools

• Experience as a QA Automation Engineer / SDET.
• Strong expertise in Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, and Cucumber (BDD).
• API testing experience using Postman and REST Assured.
• Working knowledge of Java, Maven, and JUnit.

Process & Platform

• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and CI/CD workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience testing data‑intensive or enterprise‑scale applications.
• Exposure to cloud platforms and modern data architectures.
• Prior experience working in Agile / DevOps environments.
