Lead Infant Teacher 1+ Yr EXP REQ

Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and experienced Lead Infant Teacher to join our team at Ann & Andy Child Care Center. The Lead Infant Teacher will provide high-quality early childhood education and nurturing care to infants in a safe, loving, and supportive environment. This role requires a commitment to fostering infants' cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development through age-appropriate activities and interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide Quality Infant Care: Create a safe, clean, and nurturing environment where infants feel secure and valued.

· Develop and Implement Curriculum: Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate activities to stimulate learning, sensory development, and motor skills.

· Observe and Assess Development: Regularly observe and document infants' developmental milestones and progress, sharing updates with parents during meetings and assessments.

· Foster Relationships: Build strong, trusting relationships with infants and their families through open communication and active engagement.

· Supervise and Support Assistant Teachers: Lead and mentor assistant teachers and staff in the infant room, ensuring that they follow best practices in infant care and development.

· Health and Safety: Monitor the well-being of all infants in the classroom, ensuring proper hygiene, feeding, diapering, and rest routines are followed.

· Collaborate with Team: Work closely with other teachers, staff, and the center director to create a cohesive and supportive team environment that promotes the overall success of the center.

· Professional Development: Stay current with the latest trends and research in early childhood education and infant care. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field
  • CDA (Child Development Associate) credential or equivalent certification is a plus.

· Minimum of 2 years of experience working with infants or toddlers in a licensed childcare setting.

  • Knowledge of infant care best practices, including safety guidelines, feeding, and diapering.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Physical ability to lift infants, sit on the floor, and engage in active play.
