What awaits you in this role

We are looking for a passionate Lead Legal Counsel – Banking & Finance to join our Corporate/M&A team at Legal and Compliance Directorate.

• Provide high quality legal services in banking and finance matters, including complex financial transactions and related legal issues for Beko global operations.
• Advise on international and domestic financing transactions, such as syndicated loans, acquisition finance, supply chain finance, securitizations, derivative agreements, and ISDAs; draft and negotiate finance-related documentation.
• Support business teams on financial arrangements and commercial transactions from a legal perspective, including drafting various finance and security agreements and participating in negotiations with lenders, financial institutions, third parties, and external counsels.
• Manage cross-border financing transactions and liaise with external law firms and financial advisers, analysing advice from local counsel on regulatory requirements, enforceability, and due diligence matters,
• Ensure compliance with banking and financial regulations, monitor developments in financial legislation, and advise on regulatory implications for Beko Global subsidiaries and group-level operations,
• Handle corporate governance and general corporate housekeeping matters in compliance with applicable laws, group policies, and governance standards.

The position is located in Sütlüce, İstanbul.

How do we describe the perfect match?

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law, preferably with LLM studies,
• At least 5 years’ experience in a reputable law firm or multinational corporation with solid banking & finance law practice,
• Experience in English law governed financing agreements is an asset,
• Experience in capital markets and/or M&A is an asset,
• Experience managing cross-country matters/projects,
• Ability to operate in a complex environment in an global company,
• Flexible and open to new perspectives and diversity,
• Having no restriction on traveling,
• Working independently on assigned legal projects,
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the business,
• A great team player with a self-initiative mindset,
