Lead Preschool Instructor

Job Overview

Responsibilities

• Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles, including literacy education, math and science,
• Lead daily classroom activities focused on childhood development, early intervention strategies, and behavior management to create a safe and stimulating environment.
• Support toddlers and preschoolers with specialized needs by applying knowledge of special education and child welfare best practices.
• Manage classroom routines efficiently, ensuring smooth transitions and maintaining classroom management standards to foster a positive learning atmosphere.
• Collaborate with parents and guardians through clear communication about children's progress, milestones, and any behavioral or developmental concerns.
• Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods when appropriate to monitor progress and tailor instruction accordingly.
• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities related to early childhood education, including tutoring, lesson planning, and teaching physical education.

Skills

• Extensive experience in classroom management within early childhood education settings, including daycare or private school environments.
• Strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning, and teaching physical education tailored for young learners.
• Proven ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds, including those requiring special education or early intervention support.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
• Knowledge of childhood development theories and practices.
• Familiarity with standardized testing procedures for early learners and experience in tutoring or individualized instruction when needed.
