Role Overview

The Business Solution Architect will coordinate, lead and work closely with the central project team to lead the design and delivery of end-to-end solution architecture for a global airport transformation program, centered on Oracle Fusion.

This includes coordinating all business processes (e.g., Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Record-to-Report, Hire-to-Retire), integrating satellite and industry-specific projects, and enabling the “art of possible” through automation, analytics, and digital innovation.

Key ResponsibilitiesSolution Design & Architecture

· Lead the design of the overall ERP solution architecture, ensuring alignment with airport business objectives and regulatory requirements.

· Map and optimize end-to-end business processes, ensuring digital continuity from source to outcome across all functional domains (e.g., finance, procurement, HR, asset management, tax, compliance).

· Define and document architectural standards, principles, and patterns for Oracle Fusion modules and related platforms.

· Oversee the integration of Oracle Fusion with legacy systems, third-party applications, and airport-specific platforms, leveraging APIs, middleware, and iPaaS solutions.

· Assess legacy systems for decommissioning based on the availability of functionalities in Oracle Fusion.

“Art of Possible” & Innovation

· Champion the adoption of emerging technologies (AI, RPA, analytics, chatbots) to unlock new business value and operational excellence.

· Drive digital transformation, enabling new business models, rapid scaling, and future-proofing the enterprise.

· Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, proactively identifying opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.

Implementation & Integration

· Guide implementation teams in translating business requirements into robust, scalable Oracle Fusion solutions.

· Oversee end-to-end solution integration, including middleware, APIs, data flows, and automation.

· Develop and validate technical specifications, interface designs, and integration strategies.

· Coordinate mock deployments, cutover planning, rollback procedures, and post-implementation reviews to ensure seamless transition and minimal business disruption.

· Oversee all related projects (data migration, reporting/analytics, procurement, asset management, HR, compliance, industry modules) to ensure architectural alignment and interoperability.

Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management

· Serve as the primary architectural liaison with the PMO, business stream leads, IT, and external partners.

· Facilitate cross-functional workshops to gather requirements, align on solution frameworks, and secure stakeholder buy-in.

· Prepare and deliver regular status updates, architectural dashboards, and action plans to senior management and project sponsors.

· Support training and enablement for business users and technical teams on new solution components and integration processes.

· Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and digital transformation across the enterprise.

Compliance, Security & Governance

· Ensure all solution architecture activities comply with internal and external data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, Qatar PDPPL).

· Establish and enforce integration governance, including RACI matrices, escalation paths, and architectural standards.

Skills & Qualifications

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

· 10+ years of experience in solution architecture for large-scale transformation programs (preferably Oracle Fusion) within asset-intensive or airport environments.

· Proven experience in designing and implementing end-to-end business processes and integrated solutions in complex, asset-intensive environments.

· Strong technical expertise in ERP architecture, integration, middleware, APIs, and security.

· Expertise in modern integration approaches (APIs, ESB, iPaaS), cloud-native architectures, and digital transformation.

· Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management, communication, and project coordination in complex, cross-functional settings.

· Professional certifications in solution architecture, project management, or ERP systems (preferred).

Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple, concurrent projects with a focus on business outcomes and innovation.
