Lead SQA Engineer

Position Purpose:

The Lead SQA Engineer will lead our software quality assurance efforts and oversee manual and automated testing processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that our products meet the highest quality standards. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong technical skills and a passion for quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership: Lead, mentor, and train a team of QA engineers, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
• Responsibility: Responsible for all aspects of Quality Assurance for the assigned projects.
• Test Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies for both manual and automated testing.
• Automation: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools (e.g., Cypress, JUnit, TestNG). All projects will be moved to automation to at least 50%.
• Manual Testing: Conduct manual testing as needed, including exploratory testing and regression testing.
• Test Planning: Collaborate with project managers and developers to define testing requirements, create detailed test plans, and ensure alignment with project timelines.
• Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects, working closely with development teams to resolve issues.
• Metrics and Reporting: Establish testing metrics, generate reports on testing progress, and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends and best practices in software testing and quality assurance, recommending improvements to processes and tools.
• Team Delivery: Responsible for delivery for the whole team as well as meeting project deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 6 – 8 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on both automation and manual testing.
• Proven experience in leading QA teams and managing multiple projects.
• Strong proficiency in automation testing tools and frameworks.
• Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with performance testing and security testing tools.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as MEVN, React, etc.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to Rs300,000.00 per month

• Lahore Gulberg Colony: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
