Lead Teacher

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Lead Teacher to inspire and guide young learners in a vibrant educational environment. As a Lead Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a nurturing classroom atmosphere that promotes early childhood development, literacy, math, and social-emotional skills. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead curriculum development, mentor fellow educators, and implement innovative teaching strategies that make a lasting impact on children's lives. Duties

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with educational standards and individual student needs, including IEP (Individualized Education Program) goals.
  • Create a positive classroom environment through effective classroom management and behavioral health strategies that support children’s social and emotional growth.
  • Provide mentorship and ongoing support to assistant teachers and classroom aides to ensure high-quality instruction and child engagement.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of each child's progress, behavior management plans, and communication with families regarding developmental milestones.

Experience

  • Proven classroom experience working with young children in early childhood education settings such as daycare or preschool.
  • An Associate's degree in early childhood , child development, or related field AND one year of experience with infant/toddlers; OR an infant/toddler CDA or other OCFS-recognized credential AND two years of experience caring for children; OR A CDA AND twp years of experience, including at least one year with infants/toddlers; OR NINE (9) college credits in early childhood or related field AND a plan of study towards a related field AND two years of experience

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $28.00 per hour
