Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating learning environment. This role involves developing and implementing curriculum, managing classroom activities, and supporting the growth and development of children.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement engaging lesson plans that align with educational standards and promote literacy, math, and physical education.
- Develop curriculum tailored to the needs of diverse learners, including those requiring special education and early intervention.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively while promoting positive interactions among students.
- Provide individualized support to students, including tutoring and assistance with standardized testing preparation.
- Foster a safe and inclusive environment that supports childhood development and child welfare.
- Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and colleagues regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and assessments.
- Collaborate with other educators to enhance the educational experience through shared resources and strategies.
- Supervise classroom aides or volunteers as needed to ensure effective classroom management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting is essential; private school experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods or other innovative teaching strategies is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with students, parents, and staff.
- Proven ability in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management.
- Experience in literacy education, math instruction, teaching physical education, or tutoring is highly desirable.
