Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating learning environment. This role involves developing and implementing curriculum, managing classroom activities, and supporting the growth and development of children.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement engaging lesson plans that align with educational standards and promote literacy, math, and physical education.
  • Develop curriculum tailored to the needs of diverse learners, including those requiring special education and early intervention.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively while promoting positive interactions among students.
  • Provide individualized support to students, including tutoring and assistance with standardized testing preparation.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive environment that supports childhood development and child welfare.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and colleagues regarding student progress and classroom activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and assessments.
  • Collaborate with other educators to enhance the educational experience through shared resources and strategies.
  • Supervise classroom aides or volunteers as needed to ensure effective classroom management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting is essential; private school experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques.
  • Familiarity with Montessori methods or other innovative teaching strategies is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with students, parents, and staff.
  • Proven ability in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management.
  • Experience in literacy education, math instruction, teaching physical education, or tutoring is highly desirable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
