We are a joint venture between MEIG (Middle East Internet Group), Rocket Internet, and IMENA. Jeeny was established in 2014 as Easy Taxi. However, in 2016, it was revamped as Jeeny to cater to other services. Currently, we are operational in Saudi Arabia and Jordan.

Job Brief:

We are seeking an experienced Test Automation Team Lead to oversee automation across Mobile Apps (iOS/Android) and Backend APIs, including CI/CD pipelines. The role requires both strong technical expertise and leadership to guide the automation team, conduct code reviews, ensure high-quality deliverables, and support timely releases for a large-scale ride-hailing platform with millions of users across KSA and Jordan.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead the Mobile Apps Automation (Android/iOS) and Backend API Automation efforts end-to-end
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for mobile and backend services
• Drive automation strategy and roadmap aligned with product release cycles
• Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline for continuous quality validation
• Perform code reviews for automation engineers, ensuring best practices and maintainability
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and DevOps to ensure smooth build and deployment workflows
• Track, analyze, and report automation coverage, stability, and effectiveness
• To Link Automation Code with Test Case Management Tool (TestRail)
• Ensure timely delivery of automation deliverables without compromising quality
• Mentor and guide junior automation engineers, fostering technical growth and ownership
• Support defect triage, root cause analysis, and prevention measures
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• 5-8+ years of QA/Automation experience, with at least 2-3 years in a lead role
• Strong hands-on experience in:
• Mobile automation frameworks (Appium, Espresso, XCUITest)
• API testing/automation (Postman, RestAssured, Karate, or similar)
• CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar)
• Version control (Git/Bitbucket)
• Solid knowledge of test design techniques, automation best practices, and QA processes
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments with multi-squad collaboration
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to lead teams, conduct code reviews, and deliver on tight timelines
• Excellent communication skills for cross-team coordination
