Lead Toddler Teacher

Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pre-Primary Teacher (2-3 year old classroom) to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in child development and have experience working with young children in preschool or childcare settings. This role is crucial in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes learning and growth for our students, utilizing the Montessori Curriculum.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that embody early childhood education principles.
  • Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment for all children.
  • Monitor and assess children's progress, adapting teaching methods to accommodate individual needs.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with children, parents, and staff to support student development.
  • Provide care for children aged 2 months to 3 years, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators to create a cohesive learning experience across all age groups.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma Required
  • Clear Background Check
  • A passion for and professionalism in early childhood education.
  • Higher education in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Previous experience in a preschool or childcare setting is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early education.
  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage young learners effectively.
  • First aid certification is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
  • Experience in caregiving roles, such as nannying, is beneficial.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
