Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Lead Toddler Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this pivotal role, you will lead classroom activities, foster a nurturing environment, and support the developmental needs of toddlers. As a leader in our classroom, you will collaborate with fellow educators to implement curriculum plans that promote growth in social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement engaging daily activities tailored to the developmental stages of toddlers, encouraging curiosity and learning through play.
- Foster a warm, inclusive environment that promotes positive behavior management and emotional security for each child.
- Lead classroom management efforts to maintain a safe, organized space conducive to early childhood development.
- Provide individualized attention to children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education or additional support for disabilities.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate progress, share insights, and address any concerns related to their child's growth and well-being.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed diligently, including first aid procedures and emergency response readiness.
- Support team members by mentoring new staff or interns, sharing best practices in childcare, classroom experience, and early childhood education techniques.
Experience
- CDA Required Associate Degree preferred.
- Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is essential; experience specifically with toddlers is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated classroom experience managing early childhood environments with effective classroom management skills.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Hands-on experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as special education training or infant/toddler care are advantageous.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
