Lead Toddler Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Lead Toddler Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this vital role, you will lead classroom activities, foster a nurturing environment, and support the developmental growth of toddlers. Your enthusiasm and dedication will inspire young learners, helping them explore, discover, and thrive during their formative years. As a Lead Toddler Teacher, you will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, maintaining a safe classroom environment, and collaborating with families to ensure each child's unique needs are met with care and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum tailored to toddler development stages, incorporating early childhood education best practices.
  • Lead daily classroom activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth in toddlers.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and stimulating environment by adhering to health and safety regulations, including first aid protocols.
  • Observe and assess each child's progress, documenting milestones and communicating effectively with parents and caregivers.
  • Manage classroom behavior through positive guidance techniques and behavior management strategies.
  • Collaborate with team members to plan activities that support inclusive learning experiences for children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or special education requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and developmental observations in compliance with licensing standards.

Skills

  • Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings.
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific teaching methods for toddlers.
  • Excellent classroom management skills to foster a respectful and engaging learning environment.
  • Ability to implement behavior management strategies effectively while demonstrating patience and empathy.
  • Certification in first aid and CPR; additional certifications in special education or working with children with disabilities are a plus.
  • Experience with caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting that involve toddler care is highly valued.

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
