Lead Toddler Teacher

GELA, an innovative preschool that focuses on preparing children for successful academic futures and kindergarten readiness through our curriculum based programs, is seeking an experienced full time Toddler Program lead teacher. This position works in collaboration with other school educators.

Preschool Lead Teacher Requirements:

• CDA (Child Development Associate Credential) preferred or willing to earn credential within 1 year
• Preschool education classroom experience
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, nurturing attitude
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Positive team player, resourceful, and proactive
• Flexible and creative
• Criminal background check required

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage classroom activities and ensure a conducive learning environment
• Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to students' needs and abilities following Gifted's curriculum guides
• Support the social/emotional growth of all students
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom, which supports and reflects students' learning and growth
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to support academic growth
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive educational program
• Utilize effective communication skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues
• Incorporate innovative teaching methods to enhance learning experiences
• Demonstrates respect for diversity and incorporates cultural values and beliefs within the classroom community
• Attend and participate in on-going professional development, school events, parent meetings and other aspects of our school life.
• Support teacher assistant and/or co-teacher (when needed) in the above-mentioned skills to provide and maintain an effective and optimal learning environment
