Lead Toddler Teacher

Hudson Children's Academy is seeking a passionate and energetic Lead Toddler Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. Duties

  • Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment tailored to toddler development needs
  • Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles, literacy education, and early intervention strategies
  • Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management techniques, promoting social-emotional growth and cooperation
  • Collaborate with families to communicate children’s progress, needs, and milestones effectively
  • Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and support staff to maintain high standards of childcare and classroom management
  • Conduct assessments of childhood development milestones and adapt teaching methods accordingly
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, health protocols, and licensing requirements related to childcare and toddler care

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working with children in early childhood education settings, specifically with toddlers or preschoolers
  • Strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques
  • Knowledge of childhood development theories, special education needs, and early intervention practices
  • Familiarity with Montessori methods or other educational philosophies, such as preschool experience or private school experience, is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, and team members
  • Ability to implement standardized testing procedures when appropriate for assessment purposes
  • Demonstrated skills in behavior management, child welfare practices, and classroom organization
  • Relevant certifications in early childhood education or daycare licensing requirements; additional training in literacy education or teaching physical education is beneficial
