Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Toddler Teacher to inspire and nurture our youngest learners during their critical early childhood years. In this vital role, you will lead classroom activities, develop engaging curriculum tailored to toddlers’ developmental stages, and foster a warm, safe, and stimulating environment. Your leadership will ensure that each child receives personalized attention, fostering their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth. As a Lead Toddler Teacher, you will be instrumental in creating a positive foundation for lifelong learning and development.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans focused on early childhood education principles, including literacy education, math, physical education, and sensory activities.
- Develop and adapt curriculum to meet the diverse needs of toddlers, incorporating special education strategies and early intervention techniques when necessary.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management strategies to promote a respectful and collaborative environment.
- Monitor and document each child's progress through observations, assessments, and standardized testing where applicable, ensuring individualized support.
- Foster open communication with parents and guardians regarding developmental milestones, classroom activities, and any concerns related to child welfare or behavior.
- Oversee daily toddler care routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and safety protocols in compliance with childcare standards.
- Lead classroom management efforts by organizing engaging activities that promote social skills, motor development, literacy skills, and emotional regulation.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in early childhood settings such as daycare centers or preschools is essential; classroom experience with toddlers is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development theories and practices including Montessori methods or other educational philosophies like preschool or private school experience.
- Proven ability to develop curriculum that integrates literacy education, math concepts, physical activities, and sensory play for young children.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with parents, staff members, and specialists in special education or early intervention programs.
- Experience managing a classroom environment with effective classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures for early learners and the ability to incorporate assessment results into lesson planning.

Pay: $16.50 - $19.00 per hour
