Duties
- Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment tailored to toddler care and development.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles, literacy education, and early intervention strategies.
- Manage classroom behavior with positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management practices to promote social-emotional growth.
- Collaborate with families and colleagues to support each child's unique needs, including those requiring special education or additional support.
- Oversee classroom management duties such as organizing materials, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct ongoing assessments of children’s progress through observations and standardized testing to inform instruction and communicate growth milestones.
- Incorporate Montessori methods and other educational philosophies to enhance learning experiences for toddlers.
Skills
- Extensive experience working with children in early childhood education settings, including preschool or daycare environments.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management techniques, and toddler care best practices.
- Proficiency in curriculum development, lesson planning, and implementing literacy education strategies suitable for young learners.
- Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention programs, and behavior management techniques.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members effectively.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and developmental stages.
