Lead UI UX Designer

Position: Team Lead : UI/UX Designer

Location: Pune, India

Employment Type: Full-Time

1. Position Summary

As Lead UI/UX Designer, you will own the end-to-end user experience for requirements which may include token marketplace, agent consoles, and administrative dashboards. You will translate complex blockchain and AI flows into intuitive, accessible interfaces that drive adoption and satisfaction. You will establish our design system, lead usability research, and mentor a growing team of designers and front-end engineers.

2. Key Responsibilities

• UX Strategy & Research Partner with Product and Architecture teams to define user personas, customer journeys, and experience KPIs for BFSI, e-commerce, and enterprise users.

• Plan and execute qualitative and quantitative research (interviews, workshops, surveys, analytics) to validate design hypotheses and uncover pain points.

• Interaction & Visual Design Produce wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, interactive prototypes, and UI specifications that reflect best practices in usability, accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA), and responsive design.

• Lead the creation and governance of a component library (React/Storybook) ensuring consistency, performance, and brand coherence across web and desktop applications.

• Collaboration & Handoff Work closely with front-end engineers to translate designs into production-quality code; review implementations for adherence to specification.

• Document design patterns, interaction guidelines, and accessibility standards; maintain versioned design artifacts.

• Team Leadership & Mentorship Hire, coach, and develop junior UX/UI designers; foster a culture of constructive critique, continuous learning, and user-centered thinking.

• Facilitate regular design reviews, cross-team workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions.

• Performance & Optimization

Define and track UX metrics (task success rate, time-on-task, error rate, NPS); iterate designs based on real-world usage and A/B testing.

Optimize load-time, asset footprints, and rendering performance in collaboration with DevOps and front-end teams.

3. Skill Set Required

• Design Tools: Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision, Zeplin

• Front-end Collaboration: Storybook, React component libraries, CSS-in-JS (Styled-Components/Emotion)

• Prototyping & Testing: Axure, Framer, UsabilityHub, UserTesting

• Accessibility & Standards: WCAG 2.1 AA, ARIA, responsive and mobile-first design

• Research & Analytics: User interviews, surveys, Google Analytics, Hotjar, mixpanel

• Soft Skills: Strong presentation, facilitation, and storytelling; ability to advocate for users in technical discussions

4. Qualifications & Experience

• Experience: 6+ years designing enterprise-grade web applications, with at least 2 years in a leadership or lead-designer role.

• Demonstrated success on fintech, blockchain, or AI-driven platforms.

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Portfolio: A compelling, publicly accessible portfolio showcasing end-to-end design projects, process artifacts, and measurable business impact.

5. Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating design systems with component-driven front-end frameworks (React, Angular).

• Familiarity with blockchain concepts (smart contracts, wallets) and AI agent interfaces.

• Certifications in UX (NN/g UX Certification) or related fields.

• Prior contributions to open-source design system repositories or UX communities.
