POSITION DUTIES

Assists in the development, implementation and delivery of training programs along with follow up and recertification processes.

Assists with training for all State agencies as well as internal Employee Benefit Specialists with the use of various applications and systems for various HR and enrollment activities.

Become a subject matter expert to advise internal and external staff on complex Workday events and incorporate that information into the overall training strategy.

Participate in specified projects as a resource that would use Benefits knowledge and skills to achieve enhanced results that follow State Benefit and IRS rules and regulations.

Assists EBD in researching, planning, and integrating drafts of program related policies as well as the development, presentation, and dissemination of communications on Program related policies and key benefit initiatives.

Performs other related duties as assigned

This is a Management Service position, and serves at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Experience: Six years of benefits experience in an Employee Health Benefits environment.

Notes:

1. Candidates may substitute up to four years of education, on a year-to-year basis, from an accredited college and university and two years of experience responding to inquiries, calculating program eligibility, counseling and advising persons concerning health benefits for the required experience.

2. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business Management, Business Administration, Human Resources or Public Administration for the required experience.

3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Human Resources classifications or Human Resources specialty codes if the work includes benefits-related experience on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Strong preference will be given to the following:

Experience utilizing technology to engage key training audiences.

Experience with presentation software to include Power Point, video production, ADA accessibility document production, Adobe InDesign, etc.
