Role Summary

The Learning & Development Specialist is responsible for executing and enhancing Bidfood ME's onboarding, training coordination, compliance learning, and employee development programs across the UAE and Oman. The role ensures flawless delivery of internal/external trainings, maintains governance of training records, strengthens L&D reporting, and drives continuous capability building through structured programs, webinars, role plays, and cross-learning initiatives. The Specialist also leads the annual Voice of Employees (VOE) survey to support engagement and culture enhancement.

This role requires high ownership, operational agility, strong facilitation skills, and an ability to manage multiple stakeholders while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all aspects of new joiner onboarding, including scheduling, logistics, welcome kits, activation steps, and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Manage end-to-end training logistics: handle internal approvals, room bookings, attendance sheets, evaluation forms, training photos, manhour tracking, vendor coordination, LPOs, payments, and compliance renewals.
  • Design and facilitate soft skills, communication, and role-play training sessions, including developing materials, scheduling, and leading sessions.
  • Support product knowledge training by preparing materials, scheduling sessions, and ensuring effective session delivery.
  • Monitor available external webinars (e.g., NASCO and others), align sessions to business needs, communicate schedules, and track participation and impact.
  • Coordinate capability exchange initiatives across Middle East regions and support structured learning plans for employee development.
  • Maintain organized training archives, prepare certificates, update training databases, and produce monthly L&D reports capturing insights, feedback, KPIs, and budget status.
  • Prepare all trainee documentation, maintain comprehensive trainee records, and issue completion certifications in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external vendors/providers to ensure smooth delivery of training activities and accurate timely documentation.
  • Lead the annual VOE (Voice of Employee) survey process end-to-end; analyze survey results, support action planning, and communicate outcomes to strengthen engagement.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Education, or related field.
  • 5 years experience in L&D, HR, training coordination or a similar role.
  • Demonstrated ability in coordinating logistics for training events and workshops, including vendor liaison, room bookings, and tracking attendance.
  • Strong facilitation skills for soft skills and communication training, including session design and delivery.
  • Proficiency in creating, maintaining, and analyzing training reports and feedback.
  • Experience maintaining organized training archives and records, issuance of certificates, and updating internal databases.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with diverse teams and external providers.

Technical Skills Required

  • Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) – Advanced
  • Microsoft Forms – Intermediate
  • LMS platforms (LinkedIn Learning, NASCO, internal systems)
  • Strong presentation and facilitation capability
  • Basic understanding of Food Safety / Compliance systems
  • Training vendor coordination and LPO processing
  • Record management & reporting
