Job Description: Lecturer – Community Health Nursing
Position Title: Lecturer in Community Health Nursing
Department: Nursing / Community Health Nursing
Reports To: Head of Department / Principal
Location: Harsha College of Nursing
Job Purpose:
To teach, mentor, and guide undergraduate and/or postgraduate nursing students in the area of Community Health Nursing, contribute to curriculum development, conduct research, and actively participate in extension/community outreach activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching & Learning
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lectures, practicals, and clinical demonstrations in Community Health Nursing.
- Supervise students during clinical postings, field visits, and community health programs.
- Guide students in seminars, assignments, case studies, and project work.
- Conduct tutorials and remedial classes to support student learning.
- Develop and update lesson plans, teaching aids, and learning materials.
Research & Academic Development
- Undertake research and publish in relevant journals.
- Guide undergraduate and postgraduate research projects/dissertations.
- Participate in curriculum development and review activities.
- Keep updated with current trends and practices in Community Health Nursing.
Student Support & Mentorship
- Provide academic and career guidance to students.
- Counsel students on personal, social, and professional issues related to the nursing profession.
Community Engagement
- Organize and participate in health awareness programs, camps, and outreach activities in rural and urban communities.
- Collaborate with public health organizations and local health authorities.
Administrative & Institutional Responsibilities
- Participate in departmental and institutional meetings, committees, and quality assurance activities.
- Assist in accreditation, inspection, and documentation processes.
- Maintain student records, attendance, and assessment reports.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Head of Department/Principal.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- M.Sc. Nursing in Community Health Nursing (essential).
- Registration with the State Nursing Council.
- Teaching experience in nursing college preferred (fresh postgraduates may also be considered).
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills.
- Ability to integrate theory with practice in community health settings.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
