The Legal Advisor is responsible for providing accurate and timely legal guidance to the company on all legal matters, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, minimizing legal risks, and supporting business operations through sound legal practices.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide legal opinions and guidance on corporate, commercial, and operational matters
- Ensure company compliance with UAE laws, regulations, and industry standards
- Monitor legal risks and advise management on mitigation strategies
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting the business
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts (vendors, partners, clients, employees, etc.)
- Ensure all agreements are legally sound and aligned with company interests
- Handle MOUs, NDAs, SLAs, and partnership agreements
- Ensure proper corporate structure and documentation
- Support management in board resolutions and legal documentation
- Liaise with government authorities when required
- Handle company licensing, renewals, and regulatory filings
- Manage legal disputes, claims, and potential litigation
- Coordinate with external legal counsel when needed
- Represent company interests in legal matters and negotiations
- Handle employee disputes in coordination with HR
- Advise on labor law matters, disciplinary actions, and terminations
- Ensure HR policies and procedures comply with UAE labor law
- Support drafting of employment contracts and internal policies
- Identify legal risks across business operations
- Develop and implement preventive legal strategies
- Conduct legal audits and compliance checks
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB); Master's Degree (LLM) is a plus
- Licensed or eligible to practice law (UAE experience preferred)
- Minimum 3-6 years of relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of UAE laws and regulations
- Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills
- High attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and handle sensitive matters
