Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various areas of law, including but not limited to estate planning, family law, and litigation. This role is essential in providing comprehensive support to attorneys and ensuring the smooth operation of our law office. The Legal Assistant will be responsible for managing legal documents, conducting research, and assisting in case management.

Duties

  • Provide executive administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling appointments and managing calendars.
  • Draft legal documents, contracts, and correspondence while ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
  • Manage case files, including document review, filing, and organization within document management systems.
  • Assist with project management tasks related to ongoing cases and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Interview clients and witnesses to gather necessary information for cases.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in accordance with legal regulations.
  • Exhibit strong phone etiquette while communicating with clients, courts, and other legal professionals.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar role within a law office environment.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures across multiple areas of law.
  • Strong writing skills with experience in legal drafting and proofreading documents.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Attention to detail is crucial for document management and data entry tasks.
  • Experience with transcription services is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
