Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant specializing in Personal Injury Plaintiff cases to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a comprehensive understanding of various areas of law, including personal injury law, litigation, and legal case management. This role involves providing essential administrative support to attorneys, managing case files, and ensuring that all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with the preparation of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
- Conduct legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies.
- Manage case files and maintain organized documentation through document management systems.
- Perform data entry and clerical tasks, ensuring all information is accurately recorded.
- Review and proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate client interviews and gather necessary information for case development.
- Maintain communication with clients regarding case status and upcoming appointments.
- Support trial preparation by organizing exhibits, witness lists, and other essential materials.
- Collaborate with team members on project management tasks related to ongoing cases.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations pertaining to personal injury claims.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar role within a law office environment is required.
- Familiarity with personal injury law and litigation processes is essential.
- Proficiency in legal research tools such as LexisNexis, Westlaw, and document management systems like iManage or PCLaw.
- Strong writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Experience in administrative support functions including filing, transcription, and clerical duties.
- Knowledge of various areas of law including family law, immigration law, estate planning, landlord-tenant law, workers' compensation law, environmental law, UCC law, securities law, patent law, tribal law & regulations is a plus.
- Ability to conduct interviews effectively and maintain professional phone etiquette when communicating with clients.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
