The hours for this in-office position are Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm. This is not a remote position. The pay is $15/hour.

Polston Tax Resolution & Accounting was founded in 2001 with the mission of helping people escape the nightmare of owing back taxes. Today, the firm not only services people who owe back taxes to the IRS or state but also boasts a full-service tax and accounting firm.
What Will You Do?
Legal Assistants assist attorneys and other legal personnel with administrative, organizational and research work in a team-oriented and collaborative environment.
Communicate with clients via phone and email to request documents and provide updates on client’s case.
Scan and organize financial documentation received from clients and coordinate returning documents to client(s).
Maintain and organize client files.
Assist with scheduling appointments.
Maintain, on a daily basis, the firm’s case software (e.g., updating case and client information).
Prepare Power of Attorney forms and other legal documents
Assist with research.
Maintain team calendar (adding deadlines, etc.) for all incoming government correspondence.
Manage incoming and outgoing mail.
General administrative duties as needed.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Work Environment
This position operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, printers, postage machine, and/or scanners.
The noise level in the work environment is usually low moderate but may occasionally exceed those levels.
Office lighting may vary from moderate to bright (LED lighting.)

Requirements:
What Do You Need?
Legal Assistants have a positive attitude and customer service mindset with a strong work ethic.
Equipment, such as computer, tablet and/or phone, to work remotely when the office is closed due to inclement weather, power outage etc.
Internet - a minimum of 50 Mbps internet service with a recommended speed of 100 Mbps for optimal performance.
Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills with great follow up
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills with the skill to prioritize tasks efficiently.
Capacity to work on assigned tasks independently or with little supervision.
The ability to accomplish/complete a task while demonstrating a thorough concern for all the areas involved, no matter how small.
Capacity to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality, integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Coachable mindset and student mentality
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software with the ability to quickly learn the organization’s software systems.
Satisfactory background and reference checks.
Physical Demands
In this position there may be extended periods of sitting, standing, and/or bending; listening, talking and/or visual concentration; writing and/or computer use.
This role requires the ability to:
remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
occasionally move about inside the office to access computers, phones, copiers, printers, postage machine, and/or scanners.
communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as phones, copiers, printers, postage machine, and/or scanners.
observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer.)
lift up to 20 pounds as there will be periodic lifting and moving boxes across the office for various needs.
occasionally drive to pick up supplies, to deliver paperwork to other offices, and/or collect mail from the post office.
work an 8-hour shift with 1 hour break with the ability to work the shift hours agreed to in interview and/or dictated by supervisor and/or manager. Schedule is subject to change to meet business demands.
work remotely when the office is closed due to inclement weather, power outage etc.
