Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our legal team at Andersen UAE. The ideal candidate will support our legal professionals in corporate advisory matters, legal research, and compliance-related tasks.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct in-depth legal research, particularly related to due diligence before business acquisitions or new business setups.

Assist in corporate advisory matters, including company registration, client onboarding, and obtaining licenses.

Draft, review, and manage contracts, agreements, memorandums, and legal correspondence.

Ensure compliance with UAE labour laws, visa regulations, corporate laws, and international tax regulations.

Support M&A transactions, including reviewing and drafting legal documents and conducting legal due diligence.

Perform AML/CFT checks and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements (AML certification is a plus).

Assist with project management, tracking deadlines, and ensuring timely filings.

Liaise with clients, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders as required.

Support internal teams on legal implications of business activities and provide risk mitigation guidance.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in law, Paralegal Studies, or a related field.

5-7 years of experience in a legal support role in UAE is required.

Strong understanding of corporate law, UAE legal framework, AML regulations, and contract drafting.

Excellent research, analytical, and organizational skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal software tools.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience handling corporate and M&A transactions.

Familiarity with UAE business setup procedures and compliance regulations.

AML certification or experience in AML checks is a strong advantage.
