Legal Counsel – Real Estate

Your new company


The client is a Dubai‑based group of companies operating across several key business lines, including real estate development, construction, engineering consultancy, general consultancy services, and a leasing business.


The group is known for delivering high‑quality projects and managing diverse commercial operations across the UAE.


Your new role


As Legal Counsel with a focus on real estate, you will support a broad portfolio of businesses within the group. You will provide legal advice on a wide range of real estate and commercial matters, including acquisitions, disposals, leasing, development, construction, and corporate transactions.


This role sits at Group Level, giving you exposure to multiple business units and the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership across the organisation.


Your Duties


  • Provide legal and contractual advice to the group and its subsidiaries, coordinating with external counsel when required.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including real estate, construction, consultancy, engineering, and leasing agreements.
  • Advise on real estate transactions, including purchases, sales, leases, development agreements, and related documentation.
  • Conduct legal due diligence on properties and projects, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Support the group in arbitrations, mediations, and other dispute‑resolution matters related to real estate and commercial activities.
  • Advise on zoning, land use, planning, and environmental regulations.
  • Stay up to date with changes in UAE real estate and commercial law.
  • Oversee compliance across the group’s business lines, ensuring adherence to relevant statutes, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Maintain relationships with external law firms and manage outsourced legal work.
  • Support the consolidation, organisation, and processing of legal documents across the group.
  • Undertake any additional legal tasks assigned by the CEO or senior leadership.


What you'll need to succeed


  • Bachelor’s degree in Law; LLM (preferably in International Business Law) is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Real Estate Lawyer within a reputable organisation in Dubai or Abu Dhabi.
  • Strong understanding of UAE real estate, commercial, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
