We are seeking a Legal Word Processor to join our fast-paced team of legal professionals and contribute to our continued success.

The Legal Word Processor is responsible for preparing, formatting, and maintaining a wide range of legal documents and templates. This role ensures the accuracy, consistency, and professional presentation of all firm materials. The position requires advanced proficiency in document processing software and a strong understanding of legal formatting standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Convert legal documents to and from various formats and operating systems, including Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat (PDF), and others.
  • Thoroughly proofread, edit, and format legal documents for accuracy, style, and consistency.
  • Prepare and maintain template forms and shell documents for motions, discovery, briefs, and other filings.
  • Assist attorneys and staff with document preparation and revisions across all practice areas.
  • Ensure all documents adhere to firm formatting guidelines and court-specific requirements.
  • Occasionally transcribe dictated or recorded materials into properly formatted documents.
  • Provide general support for document management, file conversions, and version control.

Qualifications

  • 2years of experience in a word processing or similar role preferred but not required.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, grammar, and formatting.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
