Licensed/Vocational Nurse

PRN RN/Licensed/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN), Night Shift 7p-7:30a.

Sonoran Hills Behavioral Health Center is a 10-bed residential treatment program located in Peoria, AZ, serving adolescent males (ages 12–17) diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Our program provides a highly structured, supportive environment where residents receive comprehensive, integrated care through a multidisciplinary team approach. We are committed to promoting skill development, reducing maladaptive behaviors, and fostering greater independence.

Our treatment model includes:

  • 24-hour care and nursing support
  • Psychiatry services
  • Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy
  • Speech, occupational, and physical therapy
  • Recreational therapy
  • Case management services
  • Individualized dietary services

We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced PRN Day/Night Shift Behavioral Registered Nurse (RN) / Licensed/Vocational (LPN/LVN) to join our clinical team.

Position Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Clinical Director and providers to coordinate and oversee resident care

Communicate clinical updates, treatment responses, and medical concerns in a timely and accurate manner

Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and implementing nursing services

Conduct clinical evaluations and review resident records

Monitor, evaluate, and document residents’ physical and behavioral health status

Identify and appropriately intervene with clinical symptoms and behavioral concerns

Initiate referrals and request medical consultations as needed

Complete required medical documentation, reports, evaluations, and charting in accordance with policy

Participate in care planning, policy review, and quality improvement initiatives

Maintain professional communication with staff, residents, and families

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) program or Licensed/Vocational (LPN/LVN) program

Active and unrestricted RN / LPN / LVN license in the State of Arizona

Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a residential behavioral health setting

Experience working with adolescents and/or individuals with developmental disabilities preferred

Strong clinical evaluations documentation, and observation skills

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

Must successfully pass required background screening

Schedule: 12- hour shifts, PRN shift

LPN: $33-38/hr. RN: $38-43/hr.
