Job Summary:

The Lifting Supervisor is responsible for planning, supervising, and ensuring safe execution of all lifting operations, including critical and heavy lifts, in compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and international lifting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and supervise all lifting operations on site
  • Review and approve lifting plans and risk assessments
  • Ensure compliance with approved method statements and lifting procedures
  • Supervise crane operations including critical lifts and heavy lifts
  • Verify crane certificates, rigging gear certificates, and inspection validity
  • Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings before lifting activities
  • Coordinate with crane operators, riggers, and site engineers
  • Ensure compliance with LOLER / OSHA / site safety standards
  • Stop unsafe lifting operations immediately when required
  • Conduct site inspections and ensure proper setup of cranes and lifting equipment
  • Ensure all lifting activities are carried out as per approved lifting plan
  • Maintain lifting records and reports

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5–10 years experience in lifting supervision
  • Experience in critical lifting operations
  • Strong knowledge of rigging, crane capacity charts, and load calculations
  • Knowledge of international safety standards
