Lighting Designer

The Role

• Develop lighting designs for architectural, commercial, and residential projects, ensuring both aesthetic appeal and technical compliance. • Create detailed lighting layouts, calculations, and simulations using DIALux, RELUX, and AutoCAD. • Collaborate with architects, interior designers, and electrical engineers to integrate lighting solutions into broader design schemes. • Prepare technical documentation including lighting specifications, BOQs, and compliance reports. • Conduct site visits to assess lighting conditions and ensure proper implementation of design. • Stay updated with lighting technologies, sustainability standards, and regional regulations.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of professional experience in lighting design or electrical consultancy. • Proficiency in DIALux, RELUX, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite. • Strong understanding of lighting principles, photometric analysis, and energy-efficient design. • Familiarity with international lighting standards (e.g., CIBSE, IESNA, LEED). • Excellent communication and presentation skills. • Degree in Lighting Design, Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or related field. Preferred Skills: • Experience with Revit, SketchUp, or AGi32. • Knowledge of lighting control systems and smart technologies. • Portfolio showcasing completed lighting projects.
