Duties

• Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, fryers, and food prep tools
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to strict food safety standards and sanitation protocols
• Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing, dicing, portioning, and plating to support smooth kitchen operations
• Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service
• Follow food handling procedures diligently to uphold safety standards in production and prevent cross-contamination
• Support menu planning efforts by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques for optimal dish execution

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a solid understanding of kitchen operations
• Strong knife skills with precise slicing techniques essential for efficient food prep
• Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production environments
• Ability to follow recipes accurately while maintaining high-quality presentation standards
• Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams
• Experience with dietary department guidelines or dietary aide responsibilities is a plus
• Familiarity with catering processes and serving protocols enhances versatility within the role
