
Liner Manager

Strategic Leadership & Business Development

Oversee the commercial representation of various lines (including NVOCC and feeder services) across all Egyptian ports.

Lead the setup, development, and implementation of future services and agency lines (GFS, etc.).

Build and execute business plans for new line launches and expansions, including commercial targets, team setup, and cost management.

Maintain and grow market share by identifying new business opportunities and strategic partnerships.
Sales & Commercial Management

Lead and mentor the liner commercial team, including Sales, Customer Service, and Commercial Operations.

Drive revenue and volume growth for both import and export liner services.

Negotiate key deals, rate agreements, and depot contracts in major ports (e.g., Alexandria, Damietta, Sokhna, Port Said).

Provide ongoing market intelligence, competition mapping, and pricing strategy.
Operational Oversight

Supervise vessel and cargo operations, ensuring smooth execution and cost-efficiency.

Ensure end-to-end control over documentation, container logistics, and terminal coordination.

Act as the key liaison with port authorities, terminals, and third-party service providers.
Team Management

Recruit, develop, and manage high-performing liner service teams across functions.

Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.

Define KPIs and monitor team performance regularly.
Regulatory & Compliance

Maintain in-depth understanding of Egyptian maritime and port regulations.

Ensure compliance with legal, financial, and agency obligations for all line activities.

Represent the agency and principal lines in regulatory discussions and industry forums.
Minimum Requirements
-
15- 20 years of experience in liner shipping and agency management in Egypt.
-
Proven expertise in handling feeder and husbandry services, commercial representation, and full-cycle liner operations.

At least 10 years of hands-on experience with regular line and agency business in the Egyptian market.

Strong background in hiring and managing cross-functional teams (Sales, CS, Operations).

Excellent command of Arabic and English (spoken and written).

Demonstrated commercial acumen and market negotiation capabilities.

Familiarity with container logistics, depot management, and port infrastructure.
Preferred Background

Experience in working with or managing lines
-
Former or current Liner Manager or Commercial Director with deep ties in the Egyptian shipping and forwarding market.

Strong relationships with port authorities, terminal operators, and local regulators.
