Litigation Associate

Job Title: Litigation Associate – Commercial Litigation / Probate
Location: Onsite – Houston, TX

About the Role

We are seeking a Litigation Associate with at least 3+ years of litigation experience (preferably with probate matters) to join a highly regarded firm. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex commercial litigation cases from inception through trial, with a focus on courtroom advocacy and client representation.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle commercial litigation matters from discovery through resolution.
• Analyze, research, and draft briefs addressing complex legal issues.
• Prepare pleadings, discovery responses, and motions.
• Conduct and participate in depositions, mediations, and hearings.
• Lead strategy discussions in litigation matters.
• Represent clients in administrative hearings before agencies such as OSHA, CMS, and the Texas Medical Board.

Requirements

• Active and in good standing with the Texas State Bar.
• Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience at a reputable firm.
• Proven jury trial experience (non-negotiable).
• At least 1.5 years of trial practice, including evidentiary hearings and TRO/Temporary Injunction proceedings.
• Experience managing complex commercial litigation.
• Skilled in leading fact and expert witness depositions.
• Licensed to practice in both state and federal courts.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $200,000.00 - $225,000.00 per year
