Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Associate Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can independently manage a caseload from intake through resolution, including discovery, motion practice, mediation, and trial preparation. Employment law experience is essential. This position is ideal for an attorney who thrives in a fast-paced, trial-focused environment and is eager to advocate for employees against corporate employers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently manage a caseload of plaintiff-side employment matters from intake through trial.
• Draft and file Complaints, discovery requests/responses, motions, and meet and confer correspondence.
• Handle law and motion practice, including drafting and arguing motions in court.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Represent clients in mediations, settlement negotiations, hearings, and court appearances.
• Develop case strategy and maintain proactive communication with clients.
• Collaborate with partners on trial preparation, including witness prep and exhibit organization.

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school; licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar.
• Minimum 3 years of employment law litigation experience.
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage cases independently with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with California employment statutes (FEHA, CFRA, FMLA, wage and hour, etc.).
• Courtroom and deposition experience a plus.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to advocating for employees and advancing workplace justice.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $145,000.00 - $245,000.00 per year
