Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to oversee and manage procurement operations for our coffee shops in Bahrain. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of the local F&B supplier market, with a proven track record in sourcing, negotiation, and vendor management within the foodservice industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and procure F&B items, equipment, packaging, and other operational supplies in line with company standards and cost targets.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local vendors and suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and competitive pricing.
  • Evaluate supplier performance based on quality standards, delivery timelines, and pricing.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms of purchase while ensuring adherence to budget constraints.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with restaurant and coffee shop managers to forecast and fulfill procurement needs.
  • Ensure compliance with local food safety regulations and importation standards where applicable.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, supplier agreements, and delivery schedules.
  • Collaborate with finance and operations teams to ensure timely payments and cost control.
  • Continuously research and evaluate market trends, new products, and alternative suppliers to optimize sourcing strategies.
  • Support cost-saving initiatives and contribute to overall operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of procurement experience in the F&B sector, specifically with exposure to coffee shops and fine dining restaurants.
  • Strong knowledge of Bahrain’s local supplier and vendor market is essential.
  • Experience in dealing with perishables, dry goods, packaging, and kitchen equipment.
  • Solid negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in procurement systems and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Valid Bahrain driving license (preferred).
