Logistics Coordinator

We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator to support a fast-paced shipping operation in Columbia, South Carolina. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can balance administrative coordination with hands-on oversight in a warehouse environment while keeping domestic and international shipments moving efficiently. The role works closely with carriers, internal leadership, and customer routing systems to ensure accurate documentation, timely dispatch, and consistent service. Success in this position requires strong judgment, confidence in enforcing shipping standards, and the ability to manage multiple priorities across two warehouse locations.


Responsibilities:

• Coordinate domestic and international outbound shipments, ensuring orders are processed accurately and released on schedule.

• Manage shipping paperwork and compliance records for freight movement, including documentation related to customs and international transport.

• Use customer routing portals to schedule pickups, confirm carrier requirements, and align shipments with client-specific instructions.

• Partner with warehouse teams, drivers, and management to resolve shipping issues, communicate delays, and keep freight moving efficiently.

• Oversee shipping activity across warehouse areas, maintaining visibility into inventory location and shipment readiness.

• Spend time on the dock monitoring daily outbound operations, verifying loads, and supporting smooth truck routing and dispatch execution.

• Enter and maintain shipment data in Epicor and prepare reporting or spreadsheet analysis, including pivot table work when needed.



• Experience coordinating logistics, distribution, or shipping operations in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial setting.
• Working knowledge of domestic freight processes as well as international shipping procedures and related documentation.
• Familiarity with customs-related shipping requirements and the administrative steps involved in cross-border freight movement.
• Ability to work within customer routing portals and manage shipment instructions across multiple carriers and destinations.
• Proficiency with shipping systems or ERP platforms such as Epicor; spreadsheet skills including pivot tables are a plus.
• Strong communication and customer service skills, with the confidence to manage expectations and address operational issues directly.
• Comfortable working in both office and dock environments and following required safety standards, including use of protective equipment.
