We’re hiring a Procurement Assistant (Import) to support our procurement and logistics activities, ensuring smooth import operations and timely delivery of goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Import Coordination:
- Assist in coordinating with suppliers to manage purchase orders and shipment schedules.
- Track shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve any delays with vendors or freight forwarders.
- Documentation Management:
- Prepare and review import-related documents, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
- Ensure accurate and complete documentation for customs clearance and compliance.
- Vendor and Freight Coordination:
- Communicate with freight forwarders and clearing agents to facilitate import processes.
- Follow up on shipment status and update relevant stakeholders.
- Customs and Banking Support:
- Assist in managing customs clearance procedures, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Support trade finance activities, including letters of credit, bank guarantees, and payment documentation.
- Record-Keeping and Reporting:
- Maintain organized records of shipments, costs, and supplier communications.
- Generate periodic reports to track import performance and identify improvement opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or Intermediate with experience in related field.
- Experience in import/export operations.
- Experience in a Fright Forwarding firm is Recommended.
- Familiarity with import documentation and customs regulations.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, PDF Editing; knowledge of ERP systems is an advantage.

Pay: Rs40,000.00 - Rs50,000.00 per month
