Position Overview:
The Logistics Coordinator (Junior Level) will support day-to-day operations related to import, export, and cross-trade shipments, ensuring smooth coordination between customers, agents, and internal departments. The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office—particularly Excel—for tracking, reporting, and documentation management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily logistics operations including bookings, shipment tracking, and documentation preparation.
- Communicate with shipping lines, airlines, agents, and transporters to ensure timely movement of cargo.
- Maintain accurate shipment records, prepare delivery orders, invoices, and update internal systems.
- Verify and process shipping and customs documentation in compliance with UAE regulations.
- Support in preparing and analyzing reports, cost sheets, and performance dashboards using Excel.
- Liaise with customers to provide shipment updates, resolve queries, and ensure service excellence.
- Monitor shipment milestones and proactively address any delays or exceptions.
- Coordinate with the finance department for billing and cost approvals.
- Assist in maintaining data accuracy in internal software and documentation filing systems.
- Contribute to continuous process improvement within the operations team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or a similar operational role (fresh graduates with strong Excel and communication skills may also be considered).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) – advanced Excel skills required (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data formatting, and reporting).
- Strong organizational skills with attention to accuracy and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English (Arabic is an advantage).
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn.
