Customer Service Executive – Logistics & Freight Forwarding
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle customer inquiries efficiently via phone, email, and other communication channels, ensuring prompt and accurate responses that reflect a strong customer-first attitude.
- Provide end-to-end customer support, addressing queries related to shipments, documentation, delivery timelines, and service offerings.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, proactively updating them on the status of their shipments and promptly notifying them of any delays or issues.
- Coordinate with internal departments, including operations, documentation, and sales teams, to ensure seamless service delivery and resolution of customer concerns.
- Assist in generating and nurturing sales leads, forwarding inquiries to the sales team and helping follow up on potential business opportunities.
- Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance of client interactions, shipment details, and service requests in company systems.
- Support the documentation process by helping clients with required paperwork and ensuring completeness and compliance with company policies.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, aiming for high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Identify and escalate priority issues to the appropriate teams and follow up to ensure timely resolution.
Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English knowledge of Tamil and hindi is an added advantage.
- Basic computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to stay calm and professional under pressure.
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering outstanding service.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in a logistics, freight forwarding, or shipping industry is preferred but not mandatory.
- Minimum educational qualification: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
