Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and monitor logistics operations including transportation, warehousing, and distribution of steel and engineering products.
- Coordinate with suppliers, transporters, and internal departments to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Monitor and manage stock levels, inbound and outbound shipments, and inventory accuracy.
- Negotiate contracts and rates with logistics service providers to achieve cost efficiency.
- Track shipments, resolve delivery issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate documentation for logistics activities including invoices, bills of lading, shipping documents, and customs clearance (if applicable).
- Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and environmental regulations related to logistics.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Prepare logistics reports including cost analysis, delivery performance, and route optimization.
- Support project execution by coordinating movement of specialized steel and engineering materials to project sites.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management (preferably in steel, heavy engineering, or manufacturing industry).
- Strong understanding of logistics processes, transportation networks, and inventory management.
- Familiarity with ERP/Logistics Management Systems.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and negotiation skills.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Willingness to travel and manage on-site logistics when required.
