Program Coordinator

India

1. Program Operations & Logistics


  • Manage and oversee daily operations of the program office and field activities.

  • Ensure timely availability of supplies (medicines, nutrition kits, IEC materials, registers, logistics for camps, etc.).

  • Coordinate mobile health clinics, immunization drives, nutrition camps, and outreach events.

  • Maintain proper office administration including procurement, stock keeping, transport, and petty cash.


  • Troubleshoot operational challenges in real time and escalate issues when required.


2. Field Team Supervision & Coordination


  • Directly supervise Community Health Nurses, Field workers, and support staff

  • Develop weekly/monthly work plans for field teams and monitor adherence.

  • Conduct regular field visits to ensure service quality and provide supportive supervision.

  • Facilitate capacity-building sessions for staff on program protocols, reporting formats, and community engagement.

  • Ensure smooth coordination between CHWs, ANMs, Medical Officers, and consultants.


3. Needs Assessment & Resource Distribution


  • Conduct periodic community needs assessments to identify service gaps.

  • Collect and analyze data on health, nutrition, and sanitation needs

  • Distribute resources equitably and track utilization.

  • Ensure priority support for vulnerable cases


4. Monitoring, Reporting & Quality Assurance


  • Track program indicators (immunization coverage, malnutrition rates, referrals, outreach sessions).

  • Compile weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for donors, government partners, and management.

  • Ensure documentation of activities, case studies, and success stories.

  • Lead internal program reviews, data audits, and quality checks.

  • Support external evaluations and prepare the field team for audits or monitoring visits.


5. Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination


  • Liaise with government health departments, municipal bodies, ICDS, and NGOs for smooth program implementation.

  • Coordinate with the consultant pediatrician, nutritionist, and medical officer to ensure timely clinical support.

  • Represent the program at coordination meetings, partner forums, and donor visits.

  • Build community trust by maintaining regular dialogue with caregivers, local leaders, and support groups.
