LOGISTICS MANAGER

A shipping job involves managing the entire process of sending and receiving goods, including packing, labeling, and arranging transportation. Key responsibilities include preparing shipments, accurately documenting inventory, tracking shipments, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring compliance with safety and customs regulations. Core responsibilities

• Packing and preparation: Packing items securely for shipment, labeling them with the correct information, and weighing packages.
• Inventory management: Recording and tracking incoming and outgoing shipments, managing stock, and conducting inventory counts to ensure accuracy.
• Logistics and scheduling: Coordinating with shipping carriers, scheduling deliveries, and selecting the most efficient shipping methods.
• Documentation: Generating and processing all necessary shipping documents, such as invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading.
• Quality control: Inspecting incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies and verifying the accuracy of outgoing orders against customer requirements.
• Communication: Liaising with customers, vendors, and other internal departments to provide updates on shipment status and resolve issues.
• Safety and compliance: Adhering to all safety regulations and company policies, and ensuring compliance with shipping laws, especially for international or hazardous materials.
