Logistics Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the Master Logistics Plan for the project (site access, laydown areas, storage, circulation, welfare facilities).
  • Define material flow routes, delivery windows, and lifting zones to avoid conflicts between contractors.
  • Coordinate phased logistics planning aligned with construction sequencing and milestones.
  • Manage logistics interfaces between civil, structural, MEP, finishing, and external works contractors.
  • Chair and lead logistics coordination meetings with contractors and supervision teams.
  • Resolve access, congestion, and resource conflicts impacting construction progress.
  • Control delivery schedules for bulk materials, long-lead items, and oversized equipment.
  • Coordinate crane usage, hoists, forklifts, and shared plant across contractors.
  • Manage site storage areas to prevent overstocking, damage, and safety risks.
  • Implement site traffic management plans, including pedestrian segregation and emergency access.
  • Coordinate with local authorities for road access, permits, and traffic diversions when required.
  • Ensure compliance with approved delivery routes and timing restrictions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
  • 12+ years of logistics experience, preferably in large or mega projects.
  • Strong planning, coordination, and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of construction site operations and safety standards.
